Principal's Message

Today, I am very overwhelmed to address after holding the Principal’s duty of Arts, Commerce and Science College (ACSC), Sonai which has a cultural history.  The college was established in 1989 by Mula Education Society (MES), Sonai, founded in 1979. Based on the pedestal “Joo Jye Vanchhil To Te Laho” (May whatsoever aspirations of those be fulfilled), as visualized by the Founder President, Hon’ble Yashwantraoji Gadakh Patil who then established the MES, Sonai. It enjoys the status of the first ever college to be instituted by MES, Sonai and has grown from a humble opening to a glorious destination. Today in its 28^th year of establishment and is aiming to scale greater heights in the fields of education, research, sports and social activities.

In its initial phase of development, B.A. and B.Com. degree courses were started. Later in 1992 it was decided to start B.Sc. and after 2001 PG courses; the resolutions of MES were implemented successfully by the college. The college got NAAC accreditation done in 2003 and then re-accreditation in 2011.The College has achieved an ISO 9001:2008 certificate in 2016 for its quality policies and work ethics.

The college is permanently affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune (formerly University of Pune). The College has acquired 2(f) and 12(B) status of UGC, New Delhi. The college provides various academic facilities to attain bachelor degrees in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science and Business Administration, as well as Master degrees in Arts, Commerce and Science.  It has a Post Graduate Research Centre in Commerce approved by SPPU, Pune. The college not only ensures academic development of the students but also provides them with opportunities to prove themselves by undertaking research, extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.  The college is empowering rural talents through distinctive movement under Yashwant Study club for various competitive examinations.

These efforts of the college have wrought great people and form amongst its alumni; the college has given to the country the teachers, scientists, researchers, administrators, entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, writers and philosophers. The college has some achievements to its credit in the form of awards, schemes and grade.

In a nut-shell this massage could be summed up by taking recourse to the invaluable saying that “Joo Jye Vanchhil To Te Laho” (May whatsoever aspirations of those be fulfilled); the motto.

I would like to thank authorities of MES and each and every individual colleague for his/her valuable contribution in every achievement of the college. I express my deep sense of gratitude to the Founder President, Hon’ble Yashwantraoji Gadakh Patil and President, MES, Shri. Prashant Patil Gadakh for their valuable guidance and continuous encouragement.
