Mula Education Society’s Arts, Commerce and Science College, Sonai was established by the Mula Education Society and founded by the Founder President, Hon’ble Yashwantraoji Gadakh Patil (Former Member of Parliament (M.P.) of Government of India and Former Member of Legislative Assembly (M.L.C.), Govt. of Maharashtra) and flourished with the efforts of President, Hon’ble Prashant Patil Gadakh and Vice President, Hon’ble Udayan Gadakh. It is situated in Sonai village (19°23’15.1” N, 74°48’24.6” E) surrounded by 20 small hamlets in Newasa taluka, Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. It is situated between two international holy places, Shirdi (60 km from Sonai) and Shani-Shingnapur (4 km from Sonai). The college has a green and eco-friendly campus of 7.3 hectares on which building construction is 93012 sq. ft. The campus is dotted with lush green trees and shrubs all around. It has a scenic, picturesque and inviting atmosphere that provides a conducive learning environment to students.

The college is governed by College Development Committee (CDC). All major academic and administrative decisions to be taken are discussed and finalized in the CDC. The college has been reaccredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2017 with ‘A’ grade. The College has been certified by ISO 9001:2015 for its quality policies and work ethics. The Department of Botany, Chemistry & Geography has been supported under ‘Star College Scheme’ by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India. The college has been recognized as “Higher Education Review Top 10 Arts and Commerce Colleges – 2019” by Higher Education Review. The Institution has established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) as per the norms of Innovation Cell, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, during the academic year 2018-19 (ID No. IC 201811682; Certificate No: 1305). The Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has conferred 4 Star Status to the college for its IIC (Institution’s Innovation Council) Activities.
