Important Instructions for Teachers:
- The workload of the teachers in full employment should not be less than 40 hours a week for 30 working weeks (180 teaching days) in an academic year. It should be necessary for the teacher to be available for at least 5 hours daily in the University/College for which necessary space and infrastructure should be provided by the University/College. (UGC Regulations, No. F.3-1/2009 dated 30th June, 2010)
- A minimum of 6 hours per week may have to be allocated for research activities of a teacher and these should be entered in the “Teachers’ Diary”.
- The Teacher should co-operate and assist in carrying out functions relating to the educational responsibilities of the College and the University such as: assisting in appraising applications for admission, advising and counseling students as well as assisting in the conduct of University and College examinations, including supervision, invigilation and evaluation.
- The Teacher should maintain a record of their lectures and Practical conducted and should submit it to the Head of the Department.
- Teachers should participate in extension, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities including community service.
- Attendance and participation of Teachers in Independence Day, Republic Day Celebrations and Foundation Day of the College is mandatory.
- The Teachers should wear Identity cards when on campus. They should also ensure that students also wear Identity Cards in Classes, Laboratories and on the College Campus.
- Submission of duly filled “Teachers’ Diary” at the end of each term is necessary in order to enable verification of API Scores.
- Vehicles are prohibited on the College Campus.
