About the Department
Dept. of English was started in June 1990 and obtained permanent affiliation to U.G. from 1997-98 and P.G. from 2015-16 respectively. Dr. Machhindra Varpe is Head of the Department and 4 students are pursuing their Ph.D. under his supervision. The faculty members of the department are involved in active research. Total 4 Minor research projects funded by UGC and BCUD, SPP University, Pune are carried out by the faculty.

- Organized 3 National Seminars sponsored by UGC, New Delhi & 1 State Level Conference sponsored by SPP University, Pune.
- Alumni of the department obtained Ph.D. and cleared NET/SET.
- Alumni of the department are serving in different schools and colleges as teachers.
- Short-term courses are offered on conversational skills through the language lab.
- Ph.D. (English) Research Centre of SPP University, Pune has been commenced.
